How to set up a business in Thailand

If you want to run a business in Thailand need to set up a company limited. The Thai law has some regulations on how the company should be set up. The rules that apply depend on the type of business that you want to do and whether or not you could be eligible for an investment promotion program by the BOI (Board of Investment).

The followings are the steps briefly to set up your company:

  • You must have at least three promoters, one director.
  • To reserve your company name and file a Memorandum of Association.
  • All the related parties must conduct a statutory meeting, approve the articles of incorporation, elect a board of directors, and also needs to appoint an auditor.
  • To register the company, also might need to register for Specific Business Tax or Value Added Tax. If this is necessary for your business.
